About the Job:
Under the direction of the Executive Assistant to the Dean, the
Dean s Office Assistant will provide administrative support to the
SNS Dean s Office staff. In addition, the Dean's Office Assistant
will be responsible for the overall management of the Dean s Office
suite reception desk which provides general office assistance to
visitors, faculty, staff, and students.
FRONT OFFICE MANAGEMENT:
Responsible for the operation and management of the Dean s Office
suite reception desk. Hire, train and manage student assistants to
support the operations of the reception desk. Manage the processing
and distribution of incoming mail for faculty, staff, and
Oversee the management and maintenance of the Dean s Office copy
rooms. Acts as a liaison to campus copy services to troubleshoot
and resolve issues. Oversee the maintenance of the Dean s Office
conference rooms, mail rooms, and suite.
Provides administrative support to the Dean s Office staff. This
includes creating visual presentations using data sets. Provides
School of Natural Sciences staff support to the Executive
Committee. Prepares correspondence responding to incoming emails
directed to the Dean's Office.
UPDATING SCHOOL WEBSITE CONTENT:
Assists with updating School website content. Independently reviews
school site to ensure that pages are up to date and links are

High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree (GED), or High
School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) or equivalent, and three (3)
years administrative/clerical work experience, or the equivalent
years of work experience which have led to the development of the
skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful
performance of the duties assigned to the position is required.
