Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A 12-week
full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available
starting Fall 2026 in Newark, NJ, to support students in diverse
educational settings. This contract role offers engaging work
addressing the needs of elementary and preschool populations,
including students with high Autism prevalence. Key
Responsibilities: Provide speech-language evaluations,
intervention, and progress monitoring for K-5th grade students.
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student
needs. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to
optimize communication development. Maintain detailed records and
documentation in compliance with district guidelines. Participate
in meetings and professional development as required.
Qualifications & Experience: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist
license in New Jersey. NJ Standard or School Linked Services (SLS)
certification is required. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
preferred; candidates completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) with
supervision arrangements outside the district are also considered.
No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) accepted. Prior
experience working with students with Autism and in preschool/early
elementary settings is highly desirable. Location & Schedule:
Positions located at elementary schools in Sewaren and Iselin, NJ.
Onsite work required with no remote options. 35 hours per week.
