Description: Modern Air Mechanical is currently hiring! Since the start of our business in 1983, we've grown to become a full-service mechanical and HVAC/R contracting company. If you're looking to join a winning team, with a reputation for honesty, hard-work, and professionalism, we want to speak with you.We are hiring for a full-time Commercial HVAC Project Manager to join our commercial construction team. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidates must be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workflow, project scheduling, and deadlines. Our Project Managers spend time in the office and on the jobsite, regularly, maintaining excellent working relationships with the superintendent, field crews, subcontractors, and other trades. We are an ESOP(Employee Owned Company), near UC Merced and have less traffic than most areas in California.Below is a brief description of what we're looking for in our ideal candidate: RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES Must be able to fully oversee entire commercial HVAC projects from start to finish, including full fiscal and budgetary responsibility-- Must be able to work closely with field Superintendent to complete jobs on time and under budget-- Job walks/site visits required -- Search for projects to bid, and maintain bid list schedule.-- Responsible for project bidding process - take-off, document preparation, coordination with general contractors, owners, architects, subcontractors, etc.-- Responsible for reviewing subcontracts, submittals, O & M's, shop drawings and other project documentation.-- Handle project schedules, meetings, coordination.Basis of Evaluation-- Projects consistently meet or exceed expected profit objectives.-- Effective control of deliveries to coincide with schedules and progress billing.-- Timely review, approval, and submission of RFI's, requests for change orders, and change orders.-- Timeliness and accuracy of submittals, project turnover and start-up packages.-- Proper documentation of all projects reflecting the flow of the project-- Maintain and grow customer satisfaction and reputation.Required Characteristics-- Must have a strong work ethic and a can-do problem-solving attitude.-- Must be an excellent listener and communicator.-- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.-- 3+ years' in mechanical contracting project management is required.-- Bachelor degree in a Construction related profession or similar is preferred but not required.-- Knowledge of California Building Code, Title 24 and Mechanical code is a mustRequirements: REQUIRED SKILLS-- Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite , AutoCAD preferred-- Excellent Grammar, spelling and telephone etiquette.-- High Organizational & multi-tasking skillsPI208076920
