Job Description:
A health center in the heart of Central California is looking
for Family Medicine Physicians with OB. The center is located an
hour and a half from San Francisco and the Gateway of Yosemite
National Park. As a federally qualified health center the
organization is seeking to employee a physician full time to
provide community based health care services. This health center is
looking for physicians that have a passion to work with the
underserved. The center is fully utilizing electronic health
records and has a patient base of approximately 15,000 patients.
Physicians will diagnose patient conditions using examinations and
tests. Based on the findings, physicians will prescribe treatment
and medications in order to heal illnesses and injuries.Under the
National Health Service Corps (NHSC), primary care medical
physicians can get up to $50,000 to repay their health profession
student loans in exchange for a two year commitment to work at an
approved NHSC site in a high need underserved area. The payment is
free from federal income tax and is made at the beginning of
service so you can quickly pay down your student loans. After
completing your initial service commitment you can apply to extend
your service and receive additional loan repayment assistance. This
health center has a high HPSA (Health Provider Shortage Area) score
of 18 which qualifies as an approved NHSC site with the maximum
allowable for the loan repayment program. Competitive compensation
