Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, 2 weekends every 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips Job Description: - High acuity telemetry unit with 34 beds - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 to 4 - Care for patients with conditions such as post-CVA, CHF, respiratory failure, and more - Stroke certified unit handling non-titrating drips, some post cardiac procedures - Charge nurse available each shift - Hospitalist available 24/7 - Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7 - Monitor tele strips independently in coordination with remote monitor techs - Navy scrub color required - Potential floating to medical-surgical floors, travelers float first - Floor-specific orientation provided; dependent on Cerner experience - Working alongside nurse aides when available, but may perform primary nursing - Opportunity for additional shifts; cancellations as per hospital policy - Cerner EMR experience preferred, not mandatory
