Deliver expert nursing care in an operating room setting within a progressive acute care environment, focusing on patient-centered support and education. This contract role involves assessment, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care for surgical patients, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive care planning. Responsibilities include: Providing holistic, individualized nursing care in the operating room, addressing physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, patients, and families to foster effective communication and collaborative care Educating patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care Maintaining detailed patient records and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards Managing perioperative nursing tasks with precision and attention to detail Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current CA RN license and valid BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications Minimum of 2 years experience in orthopedic, vascular, or robotic surgery nursing Proven scrub experience is required CNOR certification preferred Ability to work weekends and adapt to varied 10-hour shifts (e.g., 06:45 - 15:45) Schedule/Hours: Four 10-hour day shifts per week Weekends required Various start times within morning hours Location: Fremont, CA is a vibrant city known for its diverse community and proximity to Silicon Valleys tech hubs.
