Job Description World Nurses is seeking a local contract nurse RN Manager for a local contract nursing job in King City, California. Job Title: Manager of Surgical Services Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Position Urgency: Normal Position Summary: The Manager of Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surgical department, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient departmental performance. This role provides leadership to surgical services staff and works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective perioperative care. Qualifications: Education: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – required - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – required - CNOR certification – preferred Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of Registered Nurse experience, including at least 2 years as a circulating RN in surgery – required - Post-anesthesia care experience – preferred - Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience – preferred Licensure & Certifications: - Active California RN license – required - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications – required Skills & Competencies: - Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergency situations - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational challenges and implement short- and long-term solutions - Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills - Ability to effectively delegate duties and maintain efficient departmental operations Language Requirements: - Strong written and verbal English communication skills Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the workday - Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds - Moderate exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals Additional Requirements: - Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams - Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, physicians, and ancillary departments Schedule: - Day shift, full-time Specialty: - Nursing Sub-Specialty: - Nursing Manager / Director Please note: Only candidates who meet all minimum qualifications and required certifications will be considered./n About World Nurses World Nurses specializes in the staffing of non-skilled and skilled healthcare personnel.
