About the Job:
Working under R&D Engineer Supervision, the incumbent will be
responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of the
instructional laboratory needs for the School of Engineering. Under
direct supervision the incumbent will be responsible for the
design, construction and assembly of laboratory and field equipment
to support engineering courses. Responsible for planning, designing
and developing of laboratory components of School of Engineering
courses as needed.
Handle the day-to-day operations of the instructional laboratories
with primary duties including lab equipment setup, order supplies,
teaching safety and the proper use of equipment to students and
faculty for classes. Responsible for the maintenance of equipment,
inventory and repairs as needed.
Responsible for maintaining current school equipment inventory for
research and instructional lab equipment in the School of
Engineering. Responsible to maintain proper safety and use of
equipment by students and faculty in teaching labs following campus
and policies and procedures as needed.
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
Hands-on experience in bringing up entire systems combining
hardware and software.
Strong computer skills, and knowledge of simulation tools (e.g.
Matlab, LabView), is preferred.
Experience with PIC and/or Arduino is preferred.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.711

Good organization and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently.
Adaptive to a rapidly changing environment.
