About the Job:
The CalTeach Special Programs Coordinator uses skills as a
seasoned, experienced public educational program professional to
design and implement a wide range of educational program and needs
assessments. The CalTeach program has both and academic and
and the Special Programs Coordinator will be responsible for
managing all aspects of the CalTeach outreach programs including
but not limited to: Bobcat Summer Stem Academies for middle and
high school students, the Teacher Summer Institute and the CalTeach
Learning Laboratory. This position demonstrates good judgment in
selecting methods and techniques
for delivering workshops, presentations and development academies.
Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting
methods and techniques for workshops and instructional improvement.
Fully knowledgeable in the California State Standards for Science
and Math and able to work with local k-12 districts on marketing
Learning Lab opportunities for field trips as well as the summer
academies. This Special Programs Coordinator also oversees CalTeach
alumni relations and special Early career teacher programs and
oversees student employees who work in support of the Special
Bachelor's degree in related area and three years of directly
related, progressively responsible experience, or equivalent
experience / training.
Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop
recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving
