Company Description The Company The Morning Star Company and its affiliates operate three tomato processing facilities in Central California, processing 35% to 40% of the California processing tomato crop, in addition to tomato transplanting, harvesting and trucking operations. Morning Star is hiring for the 2022 season. Join the team at our Liberty Packing Company facility located in Los Banos, California. You can also apply in person at: Liberty Packing Company 12045 S. Ingomar Grade Road Los Banos, CA 93635 Interns/R&D: C ollect accurate and sufficient data for research projects in a timely and efficient manner. Some data entry and recordkeeping and fill management will also be required. Operational Responsibilities: Collect tomato and or juice/puree samples before and after key pieces of equipment Record collected data into excel or other programs Evaluate tomato and tomato juice or puree using lab equipment Read key factory meters daily and document findings Assist with operation of equipment by monitoring and adjusting settings Occasionally assist with other projects as needed Physical Requirements for Job Description: Able to lift at least 35 pounds comfortably Frequent walking and standing up to 8 hours Work Environment: High heat, high humidity, and noise Working around hot steam Wet and slippery conditions Work on varied work schedules Seasonal work from early July to late September The ideal person for this job will be someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, who can easily carry 40 lb. samples of tomatoes, who is comfortable in the noisy and hot atmosphere of a modern food-processing factory, and who can complete tasks in a self-managed environment.
