Job Description:
Pay Range: $200,000 to $245,000 per yearPurpose of Position:In
this role, the incumbent will be accountable for creating an
environment that is in alignment with Foster Farms cultural
pillars, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness, cost, and is
consistent with company policies, procedures, safety goals, and
free of unnecessary litigation. The individual will also be
accountable for assisting Human Resources leadership and
operational management teams in achieving environments that
cultivate a positive work environment, meeting the Company s goals.
Responsible for negotiating and coordinating collective bargaining
agreements and provide internal consultation and training to
operational management teams. This is a key role at Foster Farms
and is vital to the continued success of our Company.Essential Job
Functions:Labor Relations for all areas of the Company--assist in
identifying and implementing strategic labor objectives.Provide
leadership and support to Senior Regional HR Managers.Create a
culture of excellence, accountability, support, and TEAM
engagement.Act as chief spokesperson and coordinate multiple labor
agreements.Proactively plan, set objectives, and develop
appropriate strategies and tactics with operational management for
the Human Resources Team to execute.Strive to achieve efficient,
cost-driven labor agreements.Advises Operations and Human Resources
management Teams on disciplinary and contract interpretation
issues.Train operational management and others to align with labor
agreements and company initiatives; work actively to avoid
unnecessary litigation; recommends resolutions.Promote a functional
environment within Human Resources & Operations.Present Company s
position; prepare documents for proceedings.Uphold the integrity of
the Company s labor agreements and management actions.Bachelor s
degree in Business, Organizational Development, or related field
preferred, or equivalent work experience.10 + years of Labor
Relations experience in a multi-location environment.Strong
experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements.Experience
conducting effective & objective investigations and recommending
the advisability of corrective action.Experience in grievance
handling and arbitration preparation.Experienced with union
organizing campaigns and awareness training, preferred.Willing and
able to travel 30%+ by air and automobile; driver's license
required.Experience in food manufacturing, preferred.Current
knowledge of National Labor Relations Act.Strong technology
experience for reporting, meetings, and presentations.Positive,
self-starter, personally leads and communicates documentation and
processes in a timely manner.
