  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ER nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
    • Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CA License required.
    • No first-time travelers (2/19/2024).
    • Must have strong, thorough documentation skills.
      • Schedule Information
      • 13-week contract length.
      • Shifts: Days 7a - 7:30p; Mids 11a-11:30p, 12p-12:30a, or 2p-2:30a; Nights 7p-7:30a.
      • Every other weekend requirement.
      • 2 out of 3 major holidays.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # beds: 33 Total patient care rooms.
        • Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
        • Ratios: 1 to 4.
        • EMR: Cerner experience preferred.
        • Charge nurse 24/7.
        • ER Techs with either EMT, MA, or CNA experience.
        • No IV Team.
        • RT 24/7.
        • Pharmacy 24/7 & Omnicell.
        • Tele: GE. Have central monitor station on both nurses stations.
        • Vents as per RT.
        • No floating outside of the ER.
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Routine/typical ER patients.
        • They are Stroke Certified.
        • They send out STEMIs, hemorrhagic strokes & peds.
          • Additional Details
          • Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates.
          • Manager to conduct 2nd interview.
