ABOUT THE JOB
Under direct supervision of the Associate Director of Counseling
and Psychological Services and designated supervisors, The Staff
Counselor uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with
a full understanding of industry practices and campus policies and
procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good
judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining
solutions. Ability to function in an environment controlled by
HIPAA, FERPA, CMIA, CANRA, and other regulations. Functions as a
team player in support of colleagues and departmental needs.
1. Provides counseling, clinical consultation and / or
psychotherapy to clients. Develops and communicates treatment
plans, provides crisis intervention / management and emergency
services as required.
2. Assesses clients and determines appropriate therapeutic approach
in consultation with other behavioral health professionals as
