This position is in our Natural Formulas Manufacturing Division which is located in Hayward, California. POSITION SUMMARY: Product development and coordination of the documentation process for formulations including solid oral dosage nutritional supplements, protein drink powder and liquid oral dosage forms. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Gather documentation necessary to set up new and reformulated products for management review and product dossiers for other countries. 2. Initiate manufacturing and packaging master formulas for new and existing products. 3. Work on the development of products (new and existing) from conception to launch, including benchtop and scale up to Production 4. Review and set-up formula and specification comparisons. 5. Work with vendors to collect information and/or documentation on current and new materials. 6. Work with contract manufacturers to refine formulations and oversee pilot productions as required. 7. Perform sensory studies to assess product attributes such as taste, texture, aroma, and appearance. 8. Attend conferences, seminars, classes to improve knowledge base regarding areas of company interest and to keep current on developments in the nutritional and pharmaceutical industry. 9. Maintain an organized electronic system for tracking raw material and registration samples sent out and received. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in sciences (Food Technology or Nutritional Sciences preferred). - 1 year of experience in related field preferred. - Dietary supplement experience preferred. - Experience in FDA regulated environment preferred. - Familiarity with equipment used in all phases of nutritional supplement manufacturing preferred. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat To Apply: Please submit your resume and salary requirements for consideration.
